I have recently discovered this darling girls dance line – Lexi Luu – that has girly, unique little outfits for jazz, hip hop and lyrical classes and performances. This is a great idea for a dance photo shoot using simple backgrounds and props. Plus cute hairstyles including pull-through sections, high ponytails and long curls. I’m always looking for new ways to style my daughter’s hair for dance class and performances, so these are cute ideas!

All the little girls at my daughter’s most recent holiday Nutcracker ballet performance were using (or rather, their mom’s were using) these bun donuts to make the most beautiful, shiny, full buns, even on fine or short toddler hair.
the tool looks like this, which you can purchase from amazon or most beauty supply stores: (you can also make your own by cutting out the toe area from a sock and rolling it to form the donut.)
So here is how to make the perfect ballet bun, using the bun form above:

This party was featured on one of my favorite blogs, the TomKatStudio.
My little girl loves everything ballet, so this is a perfect inspiration for her next birthday party. Enjoy!

Girls can be beautiful and creative with their Halloween costumes, and those who are lucky enough to wear their costumes to school and/or have Halloween parties at dance class, soccer games and all of their extracuriculars (like my little girl!), they get lots of use out of their costume. It is fun to try variations on the costume for each event or party, to make the outfit festive and fitting no matter what the occasion! I also like to buy costumes a couple sizes too big, and your daughter can wear it throughout the year for dress up activities. You’ll need 1 hair elastic for this style.

The upcoming Baby Dior line has beautiful hair for little girls, both in casual and formal settings. The holiday and ballet hairstyles are gorgeous and trendy for both younger and older girls. The casual images are from the baby dior spring line. I adore the wrap-around braids, loose buns and bows on top of the girls heads.
